Extra time for a training
Ready for the Segway tour through the center of Madrid? You don’t have experience driving a Segway? Don’t worry, we will teach you😉. After a short training time and safety instructions (usually between 15/20 min), which is extra time, we will discover the wonderful Madrid city center in just 60 minutes. Madrid is a city full of charm and history. On every corner there is a sample of what was the former imperial Madrid de los Austrias. We will see the majestic Royal Palace with the interesting Catedral of Almudena next to it, and some other official buildings like the head of the regional government of Madrid, but also find simpler buildings, such as taverns and typical restaurants of the late 18th and early 19th century, or markets that still retain the essence of the first merchants of the industrial revolution in their architecture, such as the Mercado de San Miguel or the Midday Power Station (today an art and cultural center Caixa Forum). In the neighborhood Barrio de las Letras, we will find the hidden, colorful, narrow streets, where the culture and literature of the Spanish gold century is reflected in each terrace, corner or square of the unique and imperial center of Madrid city.
When we begin our magnificent adventure on Segway through Madrid, our first stop, counting on that the influx of people allows it, will be at Puerta del Sol, where we can find The KM 0, the point from which all kilometers of Spanish roads begin. We will continue our journey through the neighborhood of Las Letras, where centuries ago important figures of Spanish literature, for example Miguel de Cervantes or Lopez de Vega resided. Around the neighborhood of Las Letras, you will enjoy the typical essence of Madrid’s city center, where you will find all kinds of establishments with their peculiar decoration, a trip to the past amongst the narrow streets of the capital. In the area we will also be able to spot the building of the Spanish parliament and visit another well-known square of Santa Ana. To finalize our trip, we will head to the Royal Palace and Cathedral. We will be able to admire one of the most important buildings in Spain from a hidden view spot from where you can also take the best pictures.
