Next to the palace stands the Cathedral of Almudena, which holds the title of being the last Spanish cathedral to be completed, and one of the few in Spain that suffered the scourges of the civil war on its walls. And together they always make for a majestic image in the eyes of the visitors, and some incredible photos to keep as your memory from your visit to Madrid. A perfect start on our way to the Temple of Debod.

First time experience for both of us and THE place to do it. We had an amazing guide (Marcos) who really teaches you in a very reassuring / security mode the tricks. It is easy to ride (just couple of minutes of training). The tour includes sightseeing and stories. Possibility to take pictures often. Marcos is a great guide full of humour but at the same time always keeping an eye on us to make sure we are ok.

Ninety minutes of the fun riding Segway

Once visited the Royal complex, we will Segway down to the lower part of Madrid around the river Manzanares, and you will see that we still have more surprises for you. The riverside of Manzanares got an important renovation between 2006-2012, that makes a nice feeling visiting the riverbanks, a mixture of City and Nature in a single place. We will climb up to the emblematic Egyptian Temple of Debod, which was donated to Spain by the Egyptian government, in order to preserve it after the construction of the great Aswan Dam in the 1960s. An environment set as its place of origin, on the banks of the river Nile, and with orientation from East to West, as it was oriented at its construction in Debod and with vegetation typical of his origin land. Located on a hill, the place offers us great panoramic views of the south part of the city and the well-known park Casa de Campo (5 times bigger than Central Park in New York). And at dusk a multitude of locals and tourists meet there to enjoy one of the most romantic sunsets in the city.
